Top Ten Tuesday

Latest Romance Books Added To My Wish List | TTT

Latest Romance Books Added To My Wish List | TTT

Feb 8, 2022

This week I’m sharing the latest romance book I’ve added to my wishlist. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

Romances are mostly what I read these days. So I thought for the love freebie this week I would share the latest books that I have added to my wish list. My list today is a range of different romances. From different subgenres to when they come out. Some of the books haven’t been published yet and some I haven’t had the chance to pick up.

They do have one thing in common though, I can’t wait to read them. Let’s hope that I can get to them soon. As always these are in no order, these are the recently added romances to my wish list.

Omega’s Obsession (Heat Haven Omegaverse #2) by Sarah Blue | Sweet Mercy (Dirty Empire #1) by Nina West and K.A. Tucker | Wolf Bonds (Rocky Mountain Pack #1) by Lucia Ashta | Noc City (Noc City #1) by Penn Cassidy.

All Packed Up (Sweet Omegaverse #7) by Lana Kole | Faith & the Dead End Devils (Sweet Omegaverse #8) by Kathryn Moon | Twisted Love (Twisted #1) by Ana Huang  | Wicked Beauty (Dark Olympus #3) by Katee Robert.

Love on the Brain (Love Hypothesis #2) by Ali Hazelwood | Honey Trap (The Guild #1) by Tate James

And there we go. Those are the latest romance books I’ve added to my tbr. What romance books are you looking forward to reading soon? Have you read any on my list? What did you post this week? Let’s Chat!

Books with Character Names In the Title | TTT

Feb 1, 2022

This week I’m sharing books with character names in the title. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

This was such a fun topic to do and was one that made me really think. Sometimes I already know what I am adding to the list. But this week I had to go through all the books I’ve read and pick which ones I wanted to add to my list. These aren’t necessarily all 5-star books. But they are books that I have really enjoyed reading.

Anyway, let’s get into it. Here are some of the books that I have love with character names in the title. As always these are in no order.

War (The Four Horsemen #2) by Laura Thalassa | Lola & the Millionaires: Part One (Sweet Omegaverse #2) by Kathryn Moon | Tin (Faeries of Oz #1) by Candace Robinson and Amber R. Duell | Kiss of Snow (Psy-Changeling #10) by Nalini Singh.

Lore by Alexandra Bracken | Halo (Fallen Angel #1) by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine  | Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer | Rafe: A Buff Male Nanny (Loose Ends #1) by Rebekah Weatherspoon.

Chasing Cassandra (The Ravenels #6) by Lisa Kleypas | The Guinevere Deception (Camelot Rising #1) by Kiersten White.

And there we go! Those are some of the books that I have loved with character names in the title. What books made it onto your list? Have you read any that made it on to mine? Let’s chat!

New-to-Me Authors I Want To Read in 2022

New-to-Me Authors I Want To Read in 2022

Jan 25, 2022

This week I’m sharing new to me authors that I want to read in 2022. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

Okay, so I had to change this weeks topic slightly, just because I shared my new-to-me authors I read in 2021 a few weeks ago. So today I’m sharing new-to-me authors that I want to read in 2022. Some of these authors, I already have their books on my tbr. Some I haven’t had the chance to pick up their books yet. But I really want to.

There are a mix of romance authors and some young adult authors. Some new books and some books that have been on my tbr for a while and I haven’t read yet. As always these are in no order.

F.T. Lukens: I didn’t realise how many books this author has written until recently, but In Deeper Waters has been on my tbr for a little while now, so I am really excited to pick it up. There is a good chance that I have already read it before this post gets published, but I am super excited for their next book as well.

Elise Kova: Now I don’t know which of Elise’s books I’m going to read first. I have A Deal with the Elf King and the first few books of the Air Awakens series, so I have a lot of options. Ely my best friend has really enjoyed Elise’s books so that makes me super excited.

Xiran Jay Zhao: I have been putting off reading Iron Widow for a little while now, but I need to get on it. I think there is a high chance I am going to love it and I just can’t wait.

Kel Carpenter: Is an author that I actually have quite a few books of now and I haven’t read any of them. It’s my mission to read at least 1 book in the next two months. Don’t know which one I’m going to pick up first, but I will. I think it’s either going to be Fortune Favors the Cruel or Dark Horse by Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane.

Ana Huang: Twisted Love and Twisted Games have caught my eye so many damn times and I haven’t picked them up yet. But gosh will I. I’ve said this before, I’m not a massive fan of contemporary romances without a sub-genre. However, I have just heard some fantastic things about this series.

Harley Laroux: Is another author that has caught my eye through a few of their books mainly Her Soul to Take and The Dare. But I think I’m going to play it sorta safe and start with Her Soul To Take. It just sounds dark and creepy, but still my thing.

Lana Pecherczyk: I only discovered Lana late last yet but I haven’t read any books by them yet. I got the first book in the Fae Guardians series, so I think I am going to start with that. But all their books sounds pretty amazing too. So if I like this series I feel like I might binge them all.

Olivia Wildenstein: I haven’t read a young adult/new adult fantasy in a while and I think this one is going to be fantastic. It sounds like a book I would have adored a few years ago. And I’m starting to get back into paranormal/fantasy.

Danielle L. Jensen: This is another author that I found about last year, but haven’t read it. I really want to start reading more and more fantasy romance and this seems like a great way to go. I have heard some great things about it and I can’t wait to see it for myself.

Raven Kennedy: It’s no surprise this is another author that I have found via tiktok and I’m really excited I did. I love any type of retelling or a book based on myths and this author has grabbed me right away with Gild. I’m intrigued and excited.

And there we go for this weeks Top Ten Tuesday. Those are new-to-me authors that I cannot wait to read in 2022. Have you read any books from these authors? Are you planning to? Let’s Chat!

April was a very good reading month for me, especi April was a very good reading month for me, especially after last month. I had some really fantastic reads in April. I did do a lot of re-reading this month but I had such blast. I re-read Caught Up and Play Along and the first 4 books in the Ironside Academy series. 📚

I read some books that I’ve been waiting for including the new book from Kels and Denise Stone, as well as the new Tessa Hale. ✨

Overall it was such a good month, lots of binge reading series and starting on some new authors. I’m so excited to see what May brings. 🖤

What was your favourite book that you read in April?

A little late but I am finally getting to share Ra A little late but I am finally getting to share Race 5’s Race Week Reads review. This week I read, Downforce (Pit Lane #1) by Hannah Lily.

🏎️ Review 🏎️

I had so much fun reading this book. I knew I was in for a ride as soon as I started Downforce. It was entertaining, fun, and I just had a good time reading it. And while it does explore some heavy topics, I don’t think it took away from the fun nature of the book.

Right from the start, we can see the tension between F1 Presenter, Olivia Fraser and F1 Driver, Jonah Scott. And while silly at times, it was fun seeing them interact together. Both really didn’t like each other. They both had said things about and to one another that sometimes it caused chaos. And I was here for it.

I did find that at times, just silly things happened. I am not a massive rom-com reader, and there was a lot of falling into one another, and arguments stemmed from nothing. This is honestly just because I don’t like these types of scenes, but it didn’t really make me dislike the book at all.

I loved the whole road trip aspect of the book, it’s different from other F1 books I’ve read so far this year and just made for some interesting banter and lust. I do wish that the road trip was a little longer than it was because I did feel like the romance moved pretty quickly here, but again, it didn’t really affect how much I was enjoying the book.

The romance was this combination of being slow burn and full of angst right at the start, to the road trip happening and then bam. But I loved it, though. The banter between Olivia and Jonah was fantastic. I loved seeing them grow not only with one another but with themselves as well.

Overall, I had a great time reading Downforce and will be continuing the series for sure when the other books come out. The romance was angsty and just felt right. The found family aspect really worked well here, and the F1 aspects were pretty okay. Not the best I’ve seen, but not the worst either. If you are looking for a fun read that has a great romance and a little rom-comy, then pick this one up.
I’ve already had a pretty amazing reading year. I’ve already had a pretty amazing reading year. There have been so many books that I have enjoyed but there are some that I have just loved. 🖤

I didn’t realise before I put this post together that all of these books are from authors I’ve read and loved before. There hasn’t been a Rebecca Yarros book that I haven’t rated under 4 Stars. Elsie Silver is just making me love everything that she writes. Wild and Wrangled may be my favourite in the series. 📖

Three rereads also made it to this list. Binding 13 still makes me gasp and smile all at the same time. And Caught Up and Play Along just hit every time. 📚

I’ve honestly had a great year so far and since making this post a few more books I’ve read I’ve ended up loving. It’s going to be hard to pick my favourites at the end of the year that is for sure. ✨

What books have you loved reading this year? Are any books that made my list on yours? Let me know!
