This week I’m sharing romance books for those wanting to start reading more in the genre. Top Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.
The romance genre is big! And when you haven’t delved into it, it’s hard to know where to start. So for this week’s love freebie, I thought it would be fun to share romance books that I would recommend for first-time romance readers. From contemporary reads to fantasy books, with little to no spice to a nice amount for those starting.
It’s the month of love, so let’s get into it. As always these are in no real order. Here are the romance books that I think are perfect for those just starting to read romacne. And, let’s go!

I discovered quite a few new-to-me authors in 2024. It was one of my goals for the year, and I’m so happy that I did because some of them are authors I cannot wait to read more of this year. From fantasy to contemporary romance and even some dark, I read a mix of new authors in 2024. Sometimes, I read only one book from them, and sometimes, I binged a whole series or even more books from an author.
So, let’s get into it. Here are the new-to-me authors I discovered and read in 2024. As always, these are in no particular order.

Lyla Sage – Read 3 Books | Tracy Lorraine – Read 1 Book. | Eliana Lee – Read 2 Books. | Catherine Cowles – Read 18 Books.

Tessa Hale – Read 6 Books. | Sarah A. Parker – Read 1 Books. | Chloe Walsh – Read 2 Books.| E. Salvador – Read 2 Books.

What were some of your new-to-me authors that you read in 2024? Do we share any that are the same? Are you planning on reading any of this list? Let’s chat!
