After a very slow April, I finally feel like I’m in a much better reading mood. While I didn’t read a whole lot more this month, I feel like I’m getting back into it. I did re-read quite a number of books this month and I feel that has helped me move out of my little slump. Add to that the fact Melbourne went back into lockdown, which meant I couldn’t work. Which meant I had a lot more time to read.
Enough of all this talk let’s get into it. As I said before I did some re-reading this month which helped with my slump. I also managed to pick up a few books that I’ve been waiting to read for a while. But here we go, like always these are in no order.
Fugitive (Houston Defiance MC #3) by K.E. Osborn: I received the 4th book in this series for review before I realised I completely missed this one. So I finally picked it up. This might be my least favourite from the series. I like it, but I wasn’t able to connect with the character as much. The romance was really cute though | 2.5 Stars.
Impulsive (Houston Defiance MC #4) by K.E. Osborn: As soon as I read the synopsis for this one I was intrigued. It sounds fantastic and it was. The romance was great, the characters were and I can’t wait to see where this story goes | 3 Stars.
To Love and to Loathe (The Regency Vows #2) by Martha Waters: As soon as I heard about this book I knew that I needed to read it. And I ended up loving it. It’s a fantastic historical romance and I can’t wait to read more from Martha Waters | 4 stars – Review.
Last Will and Testament (Radleigh University #1) by Dahlia Adler: I saw this as a recommendation on a list that I was reading a little while ago and I’ve missed my college/university romances. This wasn’t it though. There was a lot of things missing for me in this one. The romance was okay – but I wanted more. The characters were here and there | 2.5 Stars.
Psy-Changeling #1 – 4 by Nalini Singh: This was a big re-read this month. I re-read it for no other reason than feeling like it. I read the first 4 books and then I pick and choose a few of the others. These first four and just fantastic. They just hit me just right.
Psy-Changeling #5-6 & #9-10 by Nalini Singh: I couldn’t do a re-read and not read these ones. I just love them so much. I love this series so much. And I cannot wait to continue reading it – which I now will.
Get a Life, Chloe Brown (The Brown Sisters #1) by Talia Hibbert: This is one of mine and Ely’s buddy reads and let me tell you, I loved it. I’ve been wanting to start this series for a while now and I finally did it. I took a little while to get into it, but once I did I had a blast | 4 Stars.
Heartstopper: Volume Four (Heartstopper #4) by Alice Oseman: I bought this the day it was published and came into work, but I couldn’t read it right away. I wasn’t ready for the pain. I loved it so much, it hurt but gosh it also made me smile so much | 5 stars.
Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) by Leigh Bardugo: I finally finished my re-read of Crooked Kingdom this month. I honestly don’t know why it took me so long to read – but I did it. I loved it and I can’t wait to read King of Scars | 4.5 Stars.
And there we go. Those are the books that I read in May. Have you read any of these? What did you think? Are you planning on reading them? What did you read in May? Let’s Chat!
