Since we are going back into lockdown here in Melbourne, I thought I would share the books that I currently have on loan from the library. I did this post a few months ago and thought it was time to share more. With libraries closed, all the books I currently have on loan are ebooks.
While being closed my library has been amazing at getting ebooks in. I’ve requested a few and they have come in right away. Which has been fantastic for a bunch of newer books. Anyway, let’s get into it.
The Poppy War (The Poppy War #1) by R.F. Kuang: I’ve heard about this one for some time and with the next book coming out I wanted to jump on it before the series gets too long for me. I’m hesitant to pick this one up. Adult fantasy is something that I struggle to read, but I have only heard amazing things about this one and when I saw it available for loan on my libraries catalogue. I went with it. I hope to get to it soon.
Through the Storm by Beverly Jenkins: I read my first Beverly Jenkins book a couple of months ago and fell in love and want to read more of her books. I feel in love with the side characters and family from Rebel, and when I saw that some of the family had their books I jumped.
Winds of the Storm by Beverly Jenkins: This is the second in the ‘family’ series and one that I think I will fall in love with right away. This one sounds like it’s going to be the one I fall in love with.
Captured by Beverly Jenkins: The third in the series, and the one I am most intrigued by. Something that I love is that each book is different from the other. I haven’t read a book with Pirates like this before and that makes me excited.
House of Dragons (House of Dragons #1) by Jessica Cluess: I still haven’t managed to read this one yet, but want to get to it soon. It sounds like it’s my type of fantasy. It’s got dragons and battles and it just sounds so good.
Four Days of You and Me by Miranda Kenneally: I’ve liked previous Miranda Kenneally books and when I saw that her newest one was available from my library I quickly jumped. I just haven’t had the chance to pick it up.
Pride by Ibi Zoboi: This is one that I still don’t know if I’m going to read. I’m not a massive fan of Austen. I’ve tried, I have but I’ve never been able to get into her books. But this one caught my eye right away. It sounds fascinating and intriguing. And I hope that I do like it.
And those are the books that I currently have on loan from my library. Do you have any books on loan from your library? Have you read any of the books on my list? Are there any books that you think I should check out. Let’s Chat!
