Living in Australia has a downfall for book lovers – it’s too far for most authors to travel. I’ve met a heap of Aussie authors and even some international including David Levithan and Sarah J Mass. In saying this here is my list of authors that I cannot wait to meet and I hope that it’s soon. These are in no particular order – except maybe for the first one.
Cassandra Clare: Now I don’t this one should be a surprise to most of you. Cassie Clare has to be one of my favourite authors at the moment. She came to Australia last year and I was unable to aff0rd travelling interstate. I hope that one day it will happen.
Richelle Mead: Mead has been one of my favourite authors for a long time. Her books are what brought me to YA – and I have never looked back. The last time she was here was before I even picked her books up and before I was into blogger.
J.K Rowling: Again another author that I don’t think you will be surprised with. Harry Potter has been with me my whole life and to meet the person that created that, who shaped my life. It would be an experience that I cannot even begin to explain.
V.E Schwab: This is an only a new to me author. Obvious she has been around for a while, but I’ve just started to read her books and I love them. Plus I love her on social media.
Katie McGarry: Is one of my favourite contemporary authors. I’ve read every single one of her books and to meet her would be amazing. Plus my younger sister has also loved her books – it’s something that we can do together.
Rebecca Yarros: I’ve been reading Rebecca Yarros books for 2-3 years and I love them. She is one of the authors that introduced me into NA and I love it. I’ve read most of her books now and I cannot wait for more.
Angie Thomas: This is a new favourite author for me. I mean yes I’ve only read The Hate U Give – but it was brilliant. I want to meet the author behind this raw and real story, that tore me apart.
Heidi Heilig: The Girl from Everywhere was one of my favourite books last and I love was Heidi stands for on twitter and across her platforms. Again, I live on the other side of the world – so it’s hard sometimes.
Claudia Gray: Another author that helped me love YA. I recently read her new book Defy the Stars and really enjoyed and cannot wait to read some of her newer titles. As far as I know she hasn’t made her way to Australia – maybe one day.
Amy Tintera: I’ve been reading Amy’s books for a couple of years now and I just love then so much. Ruined was again one of my favourite books I read last year and I am so excited to read more from here.
And that is it for this week! Who are some of the authors that you are dying to meet? Do we share any of the same? Have you met some of the authors on my list? Let’s Chat!
